About the Artist

Previous Next

I was born in Stockholm – Swedish Mother and English Father. I have one son and three daughters. I lived in Rome for three years from 1974, then Abidjan, Ivory Coast, and Washington, DC, USA.  I returned to England in 1990 to follow diploma courses in Fine Art and Print Making at the Mid-Warwickshire College and then a post-diploma course.

I am a mixed media artist with a Studio in Kineton, Warwickshire, where I run art classes and life drawing groups.  I work in all media for my paintings and enjoy charcoal drawing; I also experiment in printmaking and collage.

The inspiration for my paintings comes from several sources including the intricacies of the human form, observation of daily life in the different cultures I have experienced, as well as somewhere deep in my sub-conscious that I don’t fully understand but that expresses itself in my abstract paintings.
